Ingredients
8-10cups (1.9-2.4L)water (or vegetable broth)
1cup (200g)brown rice
Salt (optional)
Instructions
Fill a large pot with 8 to 10 cups of water (or vegetable broth). Bring to a boil on high heat.
Meanwhile, measure 1 cup of brown rice. Rinse the rice well in a fine-mesh colander. Add to boiling water and give it a stir. Boil rice for 30 minutes, without stirring.
Remove the pot from the heat. Drain the rice and return it to the pot. Cover with a fitted lid (or aluminum foil) and allow it to rest for 10 minutes. (This allows the steam from inside the pot to finish cooking the rice.)
After the full 10 minutes, fluff with a fork. Add salt or other seasonings to taste. Serve warm and enjoy!
